TITLE
PERSONALITY
Smart- Melisandre is a very intelligent woman something that maybe, more less, frowned upon by men. Think of a woman who can have your brain heart with information you never heard of or even thought of. She thinks about things that people tend to look over or neglect and she shows her knowledge only when it's appropriate and even then she is remarkable.
Powerful- With the power of R'hllor, she maybe the most powerful person in the lands of Westeros but that maybe someone's opinion. Although, she does not recognize herself as anything less than a Red Priestess because she knows the Lord of the Light is the reason of her power and she will be modest about it.
Wise- If you admire her intelligence than you will admire her wisdom as she gives her advice with moral themes or even warnings. She has the ability of prophecy and can tell you what the future holds and may even critique your path enough for you to follow the right one, the path to R'hildor.
Observant- Within the shadows, she watches people and sometimes people don't even know she is watching them but she is looking for the slightest trace of weakness or even faltering of a person. When you are talking to her she is listening to you intensely and is watching everything you do, this may come off a little intimidating.
Sensual- can't be a sorceress and not be a seductress. Melisandre is a very beautiful woman and within her religion sex is a powerful tool and is actually sacred among partners. Melisandre is known to seduce the minds of men to get habe them on her side as sex is not a big deal to Melisandre but a tool that can be used to get what you want.
Manipulative- Being a clever and tactical woman, she has quite the silver tongue as she may not outright lie to you but she will keep some information to further her plans and to keep some people on her side and besides sex she can manipulate you by blackmail or even reminding you of who you are and where you are.
Intimidating- many people find her intimidating because she is different and has power no one else haves. She worships a god foreign to the ones they worship and she practices human sacrifice, that alone scares people. She isn't afraid to end your life if R'hllor sees it fit and she is unafraid by death.
Merciless - Melisandre is a merciless woman especially when the Lord of the Light deems it. She will cut your throat or burn you to a crisp and have a care in the world, be careful not to cross her because that is your head.

HISTORY
Melisandre also known as Lady Melisandre and the Red Woman, those who wish to learn about her will either be frighten to death or mesmerized by her beauty. The Red Woman’s history and legacy has always been at the mercy of the Lord of the Light as he has watched over her since the day she was born, well at least in her opinion. She is not a native of Westeros as she has her origins in Asshai, the great city on the continent of Essos. Now, she was not born a free woman but born a slave and as a slave she was taught discipline and order, which is evident to this day. Her years of slavery was cut short as the Lord of the Light shines his everlasting light upon those he deems worthy and raises them high into his ranks as a Red priest and priestess. Melisandre was one of the lucky ones to be a Red priestess as they follow the faith of the lord R’hllor, Lord of the Light, and only with him do they have their power, but that power is strong, which could cause fear and hysteria within other people as they do not understand how people of that caliber could be so powerful. No one understands the religion of R’hllor as they are not meant, but others like Melisandre do know their lord and they know he is real and he is strong.
Many years later, Melisandre came through the Narrow Sea, setting foot among the waters of Westeros as R’hildor has a plan and he sent Melisandre to deliver it to the people of Westeros and she willing obliges to his plans inspired greatly of her lord as she was proud to be chosen by his guiding light. Another reason to why she comes to Dragonstone was because she believes a man named of Stanis Baratheon to be the reborned Azor Ahai, whom she believes will kill the naysayers of her god. That was when she met Lord Stannis Baratheon, docking at the Stronghold of Dragonstone; which sat upon an island. This was when Melisandre started to make herself known to the Westerian people, she knew this was the place her lord wanted her to find as this was the place she was going to preach their monolithic faith. Although with a great proposition came a great opposition within the people of Dragonstone as they were stubborn as bulls, clinging to their young faith as if they were babies to their mothers.
Melisandre found this fixable as she came all this way to make a point to the people of Westeros and she will fulfill her master’s plans, so their gods must burn in the light of R’hllor. There were some who would listen to Melisandre’s preaching and some even converted to her religion, but it wasn’t all and Melisandre will try every method to make sure that happens. That night a ceremony was conducted on behalf of her lord, looking outward, was a crowd of people watching her curiously. That was when she burned their sacred figures with a bright flame as an offering to her lord, some were enraged but they were beat aside to the people who were aligned with her. Melisandre than spoke over the others and the believers repeated her chanting,” The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors.” Hearing others repeats her words made Melisandre happy and feeling complete, especially when their lord Stannis stood by her like a lost puppy, but she knows that her plans are not complete not by a long shot. Later on, Melisandre showed Stannis a vision within a fire that his plans to wining the fight at Blackwater would be futile, creating a tighter hold on him.
Melisandre was made a close advisor to Stannis and she plans to have him wrapped around her pinkie, because if she has him totally than she has Dragonstone and that she did. Despite his marriage vows to Selyse, he impregnates her in hopes of a son; which, she promises to birth. Taunting him of the fact that his wife gave him nothing but grief, stillbirths, and death, although, Melisandre promised him better. She already has gifted power and Stannis recognizes that within her, solidifying his trust and belief in her and her god. Melisandre brainwashes him to always pray to R’hllor as they can only do is pray and wait for his word and do what his says, whatever that maybe, no questions asked. With the birth of Melisandre and Lord Stannis’ child came something unearthly and otherworldly as Melisandre laid upon her robe within a cave, giving birth to the child. As dark, ghostly hands reach from out of her womb to pull itself through and what stood was not a human baby, but a shadow. With that shadow, she used it to murder Stannis’ brother so he may take leadership of their army.
Stannis went into battle at Blackwater, but to only retreat in defeat; therefore, he directed his rage at Melisandre but she reminds him of the spell she used to his fellow brother, so he may be in control of the army. That stopped him from his mad rage, to refuel his belief into Melisandre she showed the man a vision within a fire, which was a successful act into bringing him back to her faith. Although, Stannis was one of the many who believed in her and even feared her, but there were others who held great opposition to her like, Davos. He made it clear that he didn’t want her anywhere near Stannis, convincing him to leave her behind on their journeys to King’s Landing. Although, to sever the completion and opposition, Melisandre began to conduct human sacrifices to her lord as she was burning the non-believers of her religion. Although these people were burned for a good cause as they were burned as offerings to R’hllor, but Davos made his intentions known as tries to make Melisandre an enemy….a big mistake on his part…A mistake on trying to kill Melisandre at the peak of her power as she reminds him of the death of his son, burning with the purest of light; which stopped him for moment enough to be grabbed and sent to the dungeons.
Opposition was gone and Melisandre continues her hold on Stannis and the Dragonstone’s people. Although, the heart of her mission was not within Dragonstone but in Riverland; to which, she sets route despite the opposition of Stannis. Arriving to Riverland, she was met with Thoros of Myr another tool used by the Lord of the Light and through him did she find who she was looking for, Gendry. She seduces him and controls him like she did with Stannis and brings the boy back to Dragonstone to where he will be used as a human sacrifice. The ritual per say….involved leeches….I needed blood and that was one way of getting it. Thinking that the opposition was gone for good, Davos crawled from his little corner to free Gendry from Melisandre’s grasps, but he did not prevail against Stannis’s anger when he done his deed. Although like the little snake he is, he attempts to send a letter to the Night Watch but Melisandre got her hands on the letter and upon a fire she showed its true intent, The War of the Five King is only but a distraction from what’s to come. Davos was to be killed, but the merciful R’hllor saw him an important factor of the war; therefore, his life was preserved…this time.

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLES
The taller than most red head woman sat quietly in the council room with Stannis Baratheon and a few others, wearing her red robe loosely upon her body. She eyed the Lord with an expressionless face and cool eyes, not showing emotion towards the people at the table. Looking at the council members bicker and fight actually amuses Melisandre as they have no guidance as their gods have abandoned them, but her’s. The Lord of the Light watches over Melisandre and she takes him everywhere with pride knowing he has kept her alive to this point and she will not forsake his word nor his teachings. The topic today was the usual participation in war and Melisandre has grown tired of the same exact argument over and over again, finally breaking the silence, Melisandre spoke in her mesmerizing and slow tone,” Your arguments here are futile in the eyes of the Lord of the Light.” Melisandre said as she stood from her seat and began to stride around, slowly she walked her way towards Stannis Baratheon a small smile playing on her lips. “ The Lord of the Light will tell you when and where to fight, but like I have said many times before,” she said with a watchful look,” You must pray to him and let him tell you what to do, but while you sit here and debate on a plan you could have already found your answer.” The council members watched her in awe and some watched her in complete terror, some people have their views on Melisandre as they find her completely terrifying because she holds power far more than a regular human would possess, and others like Stannis Baratheon admire her power and wish to use it on his side of the fence. Although, Melisandre cares not on what others think of her as she has her own plans and they do not include non-believers unfortunately. Melisandre watched the faces of the men and made her way to Stannis Baratheon, standing behind him and placing her warm hands upon his shoulders looking out to the council members,” This is your leader, your lord,” Melisandre said as was choosing her words carefully,” Even he worships my god and he prayed for the position that he is in now.” Melisandre said with a smile, her eyes glaring at the people,” Without the guidance of my lord, he wouldn’t have had the control of our vast army, now do you question my lord’s authority still?” Melisandre said as she stepped away from Stannis and began to walk towards the door,” I do not believe that would be wise to neglect his word and teachings, because fire my friends…is the purest death.” With that, Melisandre stepped outside of the door and closed it behind her leaving the men to ponder on her words.
