King Edric Baratheon - 814 - lets roll!

There had been weeks of preparations going on since the death of her father, the funeral for her father would not be held yet for two more days, though today would be the day that the kind would arive at Starfall Keep. Vhaelyra Waters had spent most of her life in the kitchens where her mother had been from, it wasn't until her fathers last few months of life that he really took a notice to his only living child. No one really minded the young blonde woman staying and working in her father's kitchen though that's not to say that she wasn't disliked by a good portion of the household as well. Many of her fathers knights had let their tongues loose once her father had passed away and she had taken Vhae by surprise. Most of the food that would be eaten over the next few days had or will be prepared by Vhaelyra and the small kitchen staff. Once more to her shock she had been told this morning that she would be among the household to be present when the king arrived, though certainly this was just a joke.

However she was now being pampered and dressed up befittingly to meet the king. All the while Vhae could not help but think of the letter that she had received only two days prior; she had been contacted and recruited by none other than Lord Aegon Targaryan. Now that the day of the kings arrival was upon her Vhae found herself growing more and more nervous. She wanted more than anything for her fathers name to live on and for it to continue to mean something and this far away king was promising it too her on the condition that she infiltrate the kings circle and send any and all useful information back to Aegon. It seemed like hours before the Caestallian found that Vhae was presentable enough to go before the king, and just in time. As the procession of Edric and his kings guard began to file through the gates of Starfall Keep, Vhae was placed at the end of the line to be greeted last, or perhaps not at all.

Vhaelyra knew full well that Edric was a bastard by birth, much as she herself was though he is now a king and she is still a bastard much below her status. When the Caestallian of her household bent the knee to the King once he dismounted everyone else seemed to follow suit, including Vhae and did not rise until Edric had beckoned them upwards once more. It felt like her heart was pounding in her chest as Edric walked down the line before he finally came to a stop before her. Vhae could not resist the urge to look up at the man before her through her bright blue eyes. To her surprise he was holding his arms outstretched and pulled her into a light embrace. Vhae nearly became breathless from the motion as she returned the kings embrace before lowering her eyes once more when he spoke to her. It seemed that Edric had given her everyone's attention for now everyone saw the bastard girl in the arms of the king. There was no doubt that some speculated that the new king would be much like his father and perhaps this was his first triumph, little did any of them know but it was Vhae who was supposed to be seducing Edric.

"Thank you my lord, my father was quick to anger and very unforgiving but he believed in honor and integrity and he believed in you and your father; you honor my father's name by recognizing him." The tiny blonde woman seemed a bit surprised when Edric asked her her to walk with him, and it would seem so was a good many other people. He had ended their embrace only a moment before, though certainly there was no way that Vhae could deny a request from the King. Vhae nodded slowly before looping her arm lightly through the kings and picking up the edge of her dress. Her corset felt like it was much too tight, and her dress was heavier than the normal brown dress and apron that she usually wore, this dress had many more layers than anything she had ever worn before and it felt stifling to her though she did not complain even though her chest was already beginning to both her whether from being nervous or the corset or a mixture of both was anyone's guess.

Once they where away from the rest of the people Vhae could not seem to contain her curiosity as she looked up at the king and flushed lightly. "What is it you wished to discuss with me my lord?" She asked gently as a lock of blonde hair fell loose across her forehead.
