must be a dream i see its like deja vu again The festivities of the second day of King Edric's tournament where well under way when three hooded riders approached the grounds in which the tournament was being held. Banner's from all over Westeros where being flown and could easily be seen in the light of the setting sun, yet these riders carried no banner. The only sigil that could be seen was a field of white lillies emblazoned upon the armor of the two knights who accompanied the hooded figure. The gallop of their horses eased to a smooth walk. Their horses where not nearly as tired as they should have been, though they apparently enjoyed the small reprieve being given to them. A pair of bright blue eyes peered out from beneath the dark blue hood surveying the grounds before them before they seemed to spot what they where looking for. This hooded figure was not of great importance, though their name seemed to deem otherwise. It was Lady Alla of House Tyrell, who was supposed to still be in Highgarden; however she could not miss out on the chance to see her cousin Margaery whom had invited her in secret. As the lady dismounted from her house a flash a bright blonde could be seen for a brief moment before it settled back from view beneath her hood. Her guards where attentive, even in a place surrounded by other guards as well as kingsguards. Alla slowly glanced up at the guards that stood outside her cousins tent and then pushed her hood back slightly so that her face could be seen. "I believe my cousin is expecting me, may they wait outside with you?" Alla asked with a charming and sweet smile as she gestured to her guards. She was given no answer other than a curt nod which caused Alla to frown slightly finding it quite rude that he could not even give her an answer. As Alla made her way into Marg's tent she found herself in a tight embrace already. It had been almost two months since Alla had seen Margaery as she had been back in Highgarden on a leave from Kingslanding. She had greatly missed her companion and wasted no time in hugging her cousin back tightly. "Oh but I have missed you dear cousin." Alla said fondly as she pushed back her hood no longer feeling the need to hide herself from the world. For the next hour or so the girls talked and laughed, catching up with each other; it was as if the time had done nothing to break the bond between the two girls. In truth it really hadn't, Alla and Margaery's bond was just as strong as it ever had been, the two where much like sisters even though they had very different parentage. All of a sudden Margaery began to hurry Alla about and called in her two dress maids. It seemed that her cousin had plans to get her shy cousin out of her shell one way or another. "Tonight you can be whoever you want. No one will know its you Alla, i'm the only one who knows you are here. Besides you will be wearing a mask." Margaery insisted as she helped to pick out what Alla would be wearing and how her hair was to be done before she two began to get ready. When Alla finally looked at herself in the mirror she could hardly believe who she was seeing. She looked so mysterious with the black and red mask that adorned her face. She could already feel her cheeks beginning to heat from the bright red of her dress that would quite obviously draw attention to herself. "I can't do this Marg!" Alla muttered quickly as she turned to look at her cousin, she felt like she was going to faint and she wasn't even to the ballroom yet. It was then that her cousin placed her hands on her shoulders and smiled. "Alla you are beautiful, you are loved and the world is not worthy of such a kind soul. You can do this." Marg reassured her before leading her cousin out, or rather dragging her cousin out and to the ballroom. When the two arrived Marg told Alla to go in ahead of her that she didn't want anyone to link Marg with her as Margaery's mask did little to hide who she was, everyone knew the Queen's face. Alla gulped slightly and then took a deep breath before she slowly made her way into the ballroom, the music and lighting was extravagant well beyond any type of event that Alla had ever attended other than her cousin's wedding. Alla was taking everything, and in fact preparing herself to run when she steeled herself to enjoy the evening. Margaery was right, she needed to stop being so afraid of everything and everyone. No one here knew who she was other than Marg and she wouldn't be giving her secret away to anyone. The light blonde haired woman slowly raised her chin a fraction of an inch and then smiled softly when she realized that she had drawn a few eyes in her direction. She was certain it was because of her very bright colored dress though she noticed that quite a few other ladies as well had on brightly colored dresses much like herself. Her stunning beauty drew eyes as she made her way off towards the side to not appear like she was seeking the attention for in truth Alla was not sure she could handle it. Her nerves where already a frazzled mess as it was. She found herself next to the wine table, certainly they would have some water or other type of libation other than wine? Poor Alla was such a light weight that she preferred not to drink wine though in the moment she figured one glass would not hurt and took a light sip of a dornish red wine. The taste was sweet, though almost too sweet as it still left a slight burn in her throat. It did not take very long it appeared for the first man had grown brave enough to approach the mysterious maiden in red. Her bright blue eyes met his, it seemed that her gaze had unnerved him for he stopped and did not approach any closer, instead turned around and found someone else to mingle with. Perhaps Marg had overdone it a little with the dressing up? tagged: Lord Tytos Brax | words: 1081 | outfit: clicky! | music: heart to heart by demi lovato notes: hope this is okay! |
